Sonic Fighting Heroes: King of The Ring MUGEN Full Game

Sonic Fighting Heroes: King of The Rings (SFH:KOTR) is a MUGEN-based 2D Fighting Game, which has been in development since 2017! This started as a solo project, and while it still is, I've found things and met people along the way, who have helped me in bringing you V3.0 today!

GAMEPLAY

SFH:KOTR takes inspiration from the Marvel vs Capcom, King of Fighters, and Street Fighter Series. It features Launchers and Air Combos, yet the game overall tends to have a KoF/SF-esque feel. Chain Combos are present, but just like any other fighting game, there are many more combinations beyond the built in chains.

Super moves are present as well, in the form of EMERALD FINISHES. In battle, you have a Chaos Emerald gauge below your healthbar. Once filled, with the input of a special command, your character will perform an Emerald Finish. An Emerald Finish is a flashy super move, which does unbelievable amounts of damage, and just might seal your opponent's fate, if performed while they're at low health.

Hey Everyone, I know I haven't been active on this topic recently, but I needed to say that the project is getting a rebrand, and because the game got so sloppy, I'm restarting it. I'll be adding new mechanics, as well a fully animated intro by me. I'll edit the first post with the games logo, as well as new name. I'll also be putting up the roster list along with gifs of the characters and they're movesets. If all goes well, I can probably have another demo done by November, or maybe the end of October. I'll be updating this topic more frequently from now on, so it doesn't look dead. Thanks for the support, and stay safe.

Hi everyone! I would like to announce that Sonic Fighting Heroes now has Air Dashing, is changing from 4 button to 6 button, and the screenpack now has a more Sonic Game Boy Advance game feel. I’m using sprites from The Sonic Advance games, as well as Sonic Battle and many others. I’ll post some screenshots some time soon. I’d also like to announce that the character amount on the beta is going to be much smaller. The demo will release with this roster:

I prefer the first version idea of the select screen this select screen dont look so hot also versus screen is to big omg

I like the idea of you're portraits and stuff but, something is bothering me.....almost dosen't feel eye catching.....something about the art you drew feels like it needs improving. (not trying to be rude, just sharing my thoughts) i think the main menu is cool, but the character select & vs screen just mmm it feels strange (again no offense just sharing my thoughts.)

I made a mock-up for a character select idea. Sonic’s new portrait isn’t fully shaded yet so don’t worry about that. Don’t worry about the guy on the left because he’s made for a completely different project. Nothing here is correctly scaled. Opinions?

I'll be posting some arcade runs later this week, and after that I'll be taking a break from MUGEN to really enjoy myself and work on some projects that I've started for fun
